These are structural elements used to lay deep or semi-deep foundations. Being of circular section, with variable diameter and length, they are capable of transmitting the structural load to the subsoil by means of compressive, tensile and bending stresses.

They are used mainly in foundations of new structures, relaying of foundations, reinforcing existing foundations, stabilizing slopes and containing excavations.
